| OOOO...my first preview!!! ^^ I’ve been keeping track of Sega’s announcements for a long time, but it was obvious that sonic would return. During E3, Sega had shown a pre-rendered video displaying ps3’s and Xbox 360’s power. It showed sonic racing through the emerald zone like area (you should know what it is if you’re a fan of the old games  ), he then rushes off the edge of a cliff and skydives into the middle of an army of robots. He easily sorts out this problem by becoming super sonic and wiping them all out. They never showed it on any website so I missed out.Once the tech demos were shown during the recent TGS, I couldn’t believe it. The graphics were amazing and you could feel the speed. Even when moving slowly, the world seems to react quickly, giving you that speedy feel. I loved the way he jumped, at the height of his jump, he had that slow-mo feel, like a character from "Dragon ball z" usually hovers. It was really impressed with the surroundings. The whole thing blended in perfectly. The demo on night and day was great; I loved how it all changed. The lighting and shadings are done brilliantly. The only problem there was the A.I of the enemies which seemed pretty dull. This is obviously due to the fact that its a demo and not the full game, but I’ll expect the A.I to be great to add a touch of realism and not to just have them floating pointlessly in the air. For instance, having the robots flying around, so you have to time your dashes more carefully to get to the other side. I personally like the look of the upcoming game. Its good that it’s returning to the fast paced action, sonic heroes wasn’t really brilliant. |
