| How long have we been waiting for this Call of Duty 2 multiplayer patch fix? How about since the release of the Xbox 360 itself back in November? Many thought it would never come, and the release of GRAW pushed a couple over the edge, forced to trade or sell up in search of a complete online experience. Low and behold, booting up CoD2 now results in the download of the divine multiplayer patch. So what's new? Well for starters, it looks like hosting of games is now fully functional. Lobbies have been hooked up royally, allowing option editing and pre-battle jive talkin'. The hoster of games can remove participants with a swift kick; imbosiles can be avoided totally with private matches too. Players are easily invited into games, and their names are visible during games. A post-game lobby screen loads up after combat, and everything is generally awesome. Here is word from Infinity Ward: We are extremely pleased to announce that our second Title Update is being released globally to you now!! Call of Duty 2 will automatically update when you sign into LIVE. This update offers significant enhancements, including improved multiplayer performance, the ability to reserve friend slots in private game lobbies, post-game lobbies so friends can play longer, configurable host options and much more.
