| GameBattles is reporting that Ubisoft announced today, in lieu of its financial earnings report for its third quarter, that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent will be delayed until the second quarter of its 2006/2007 fiscal year. According to our math, that puts the release of Double Agent sometime before shopping season next year. "Ubisoft is extending the launch of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent in order to deliver the highest quality gaming experience. The additional development time will allow for a simultaneous worldwide launch on all platforms and will allow Ubisoft’s development teams to push the technical boundaries on each platform," according to the release sent today by Ubisoft. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent, when it releases, will be available on the Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, PC, and Xbox 360. | |||
