| The FHM US website has been updated with a feature on Perfect Dark Zero's Joanna Dark. Expect the focus to be on her more "tangible" assets. HOW is Microsoft going to get you to buy the Xbox 360? Bill Gates will hack your brain. If that fails, the backup plan is Joanna Dark. Yes, monsters and explosions are nice, but nothing crowbars fan-boys from their lunch money faster than a pair of digital knockers. RESET BUTTON Joanna first appeared in 2000’s Perfect Dark, but the N64’s graphics did her little justice. “She looked nothing like the model we used in ads,” says Will Overton of developer Rare. "For this game, we started with a clean slate."  FACELIFT "We began with her face," Overton says. "You can dress her in anything you want, but it won’t matter if the face isn’t right. There’s much more detail in it now because we’re able to do a lot more with the 360."  REFERENCE “Joanna is a combination of a lot of women’s features,” Overton says. “If I had to name one source of inspiration, though, it would be Rachael Leigh Cook in Josie and the Pussycats. We liked her style—young and edgy.”  BOOBAGE “We actually scaled her chest back a bit,” Overton says. “We’re trying to avoid doing what people would expect. But it all comes down to personal preference. I’d say we’re at an acceptable jiggle level.” |
