| The Consumer Electronics Show 2006 (CES) has exposed the box designs for the competing next generation storage formats of Blu Ray and HD-DVD. Microsoft recently announced plans to release an external HD-DVD drive for Xbox360 during 2006, a move that has been rumoured since the announcement of the Xbox 360 release specs. This will help Microsoft compete with Sony, who are set to embrace their chosen Blu Ray format from the word go. Red bordered boxes were the chosen appearance for HD-DVD discs, whereas Blu Ray is using a blue theme. Both boxes are semi-transparent and display their respective logos at the top. You can get a glimpse of some of the movies that will be available by checking the pictures below. I can't wait to see these pretty cases in shops! |
