| We recently covered the appearance of a 72 Hour Xbox Live Gold upgrade weekend scheduled for April 1st, as seen on the Xbox.com Calendar of Events. To our dismay, it has now been taken down! Confirmation of an evil Microsoft joke? Or maybe the unannounced event was meant to stay under wraps a little longer. We'll keep you updated. UPDATE: Microsoft big boy John Porcaro has updated his blog, revealing why the free XBL weekend was dropped from the calendar. "The Xbox.com team pulled it down, because the dates were tentative, and details of the promotion still haven’t been finalized. We'll share details as soon as we can." EDIT 2: As you were.
