| Xbox 360 kiosks were overheating prior to the launch of Xbox360 in North America, but the problem was dismissed as being caused by poorly ventilated display cases. However, an Xbox-Scene.com member has reported of artifacts appearing on his version of Call of Duty 2 - the same game that got the problems before. In case you're not familiar with the lingo, here's the Answers.com definition of Artifact; Some distortion of an image or sound caused by a limitation or malfunction in the display or sound hardware or software. Artifacts may be very noticeable to the human eye or ear, or they may be just a few pixels out of balance or a few milliseconds of sound abnormality that go unnoticed. So this kiosk problem could be infesting our homes like a bad case of termites. Or maybe the guy who noticed the problems lives in an oven, and nasty graphical glitches will be rarer than an honest Best Buy advertising campaign. Even more farfetched - is it COD2 pushing 360 past it's limits? (lord forbid) | |||
