Xbox 360 Gets Region Locking |

During Microsoft's pre-show introduction, it was confirmed that Xbox 360 would be region locked, both for Xbox 360 games, and DVD playback. This means that you cannot play games or movies on your Xbox360 if they are from a different region to your console.  The original Xbox has the same region locking, so even though Microsoft are aiming to create a global brand with 360 (hence the global release), this shouldn't have come as much of a surprise. |
