| So the reputed December 18th Best Buy extravaganza happened today. Very early, if not last night, tickets were dished out for a new shipment of Xbox 360s. A few more people will now be happy, outnumbered by a lot more disgruntled queue veterans. Questions have again been raised about Best Buy's intentions when it comes to Xbox 360 retailing. The current idea floating around is that new shipments are being overhyped to bring desperate customers into BB's lair, where they will be powerless to resist well-trained sales staff. Could it be possible that illicit, leaked paperwork was actually put into circulation by the superstore itself to lure custom? In other related news, Kotaku heard whispers of a "secret" Dec. 22nd shipment, but since when are shipments secret any more? |
